Energy Assessment
Is your home costing you money and comfort? - Most homes built before 2005 (and many built after) do not meet current Australian ‘thermal performance’ standards for new buildings. Simply they cost you more and don’t give you the comfort of most up-to-date approaches. New homes are now built to a six star energy rating‚ with more stars meaning less energy required to keep the home at a comfortable temperature. Less energy means more money in your pocket. Energy Saver Audits’ home energy experts can help you find out if your home is up to scratch – and recommend practical cost-effective ways to improve it.
Qualified auditors conduct all audits. In addition to being accredited by Association of Building Sustainability Assessors (ABSA), Auditors are certified to use the SEED assessment tool. Your personal report will list the Home Sustainability Assessment (HSA) ID number so you have complete confidence.
It usually involves:
1 hour
Face-to-face expert consultation
Benchmarking of utility bills
Improvement recommendations

Detailed Personal SEED Assessment Report - What’s involved in an Audit?
A Home Energy Audit, also known as a Home Energy Assessment, is the first step to assess how much energy your home consumes and to evaluate what measures you can take to make your home more energy efficient. An assessment will show you to stop needlessly losing money on energy and water.
Our Professional energy assessment goes into great detail to assess your home's energy use. The energy auditor will do a room-by-room examination of your home, as well as a thorough examination of past utility bills.
Preparing for an Energy Assessment - Before the energy auditor visits your house, make a list of any existing problems such as condensation and uncomfortable or drafty rooms. Have copies or a summary of the home's yearly energy bills. Auditors use this information to establish what to look for during the audit. The auditor first examines the outside of the home to determine the size of the house and its features (i.e., wall area, number and size of windows). The auditor then will analyse the residents' behaviour:
Is anyone home during working hours?
What is the average thermostat setting for summer and winter?
How many people live here?
Is every room in use?
Your answers may help uncover some simple ways to reduce your household's energy consumption. Walk through your home with the auditors as they work, and ask questions.
SEED? - SEED is an Assessment Tool. Our certified Auditors are specialists in using it to deliver money saving results.
Lighting Efficiency.
Lighting efficiency refers to the amount of light that is produced by a lighting system compared to the amount of energy that is consumed. In other words, it measures how effectively a lighting system is converting electricity into visible light. The importance of lighting efficiency lies in its ability to reduce energy consumption and lower energy costs. By using more efficient lighting systems, we can reduce the amount of energy required to power our lighting needs, leading to lower electricity bills and a more sustainable future. There are many ways to improve lighting efficiency, such as using LED lights, optimizing lighting controls, and implementing daylight harvesting techniques. By prioritizing lighting efficiency, we can create a more sustainable and cost-effective lighting environment.
